I love your inventiveness and repurposing of those shirts. For their purpose, they don't need to be fancy. Well done.

I've found some delicate hankies at thrift shops, but they don't hold up well. YUCK! Anyway, I use old cut up t-shirts mostly. And, if you ever get really bored, you could always hem the edges and embroider a sweet little design on them. I keep telling myself I'm going to do that one of these days...

Excellent solution! I love old t-shirt rags...they're so soft, and it's really nice to not have to worry about getting them stained or icky. I use them for all kinds of things: removing makeup, dusting, wiping Simone's mouth...

I've been on a deep cleaning frenzy the past few days, too. I've been waxing a lot of our nice wooden furniture, vacuuming from top to bottom (we bought a new bagless vacuum because our old one had stopped working. the house was so filthy, we emptied the canister and cleaned the filters twice before we were done. gross!), and just generally dusting and scrubbing. It's so nice to have a clean house!

good luck finding what you need for your nursery. I've noticed the pickings on my craigslist have been pretty poor for a while now. Hopefully yard sale season starting up will help.
